Bridge Basics 1 — Introduction

Here's your exciting plunge into the world's greatest card game!

This five-week class will give you a solid foundation for playing contract bridge, including play of the hand, defense, and the foundations of Standard American bidding. No experience required!

If you've already played some bridge, this course is an opportunity to refresh the fundamentals and meet more newcomers to the game.

  • First class Sept. 13, last class Oct. 11
  • Class fee $65 plus $10 workbook

Bridge Basics 2 — Competitive Bidding

Now that you have bidding fundamentals under your belt, this class will arm you with many of the weapons expert players use to compete during the auction. You will learn ways to make it harder for the opponents to find their best contract, while working with your partner to find the ideal contract for your side.

This class is the natural follow-up to Bridge Basics 1. Bridge players of all levels are welcome. Even experienced players will learn modern techniques that are favored in club and tournament play.
